Bausch and Lucas collection 1910-1965 [papers]

The Bausch and Lucas collection contains numerous musical event programs, newspaper clippings, and photographs. The musical programs consist primarily of Antient Concerts musical programs, a early twentieth century musical ensemble that re-created medieval, renaissance, and baroque music using ancient instruments. There is a 1st annual Pittsburgh Music Festival program from 1939, an American Bandmasters Association 23rd convention program which was held in Pittsburgh in 1957, as well as other assorted programs from musical performances at Pittsburgh regional venues and universities. Other event programs include a 1942 Carnegie Institute of Technology commencement program, two Syria Mosque meeting booklets, and a Waverly Presbyterian Church re-dedication ceremony program from 1945. The collection contains newspaper pages and clippings from the Pittsburgh Press, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and the graphic section from the Washington D.C. Sunday Star, all from the 1920s and 1930s. There are also two photographs depicting a 1940 and 1942 student class from Friendship School in Pittsburgh, as well as several images of Carnegie Steel Company Safety Committees and industrial workers.
